Hello Ladies!
So the summer is here, and temperatures are soaring!! This year, when I was going through all the international Spring Summer fashion weeks, I realized one thing that made me jump with joy!! The 80’s are back!!!!
That’s right! The runways were filled with bright and dramatic trends from the 80’s and I couldn’t help but think back to my childhood… (I am 1985 born, after all)!
So I decided to create my summer look book 2018, inspired by my childhood… by my school summer vacations and by the carefree fun that we all had back then! Hence, I’ve shot at a kids play park, and trust me… All the swinging and sliding was even more fun than I remembered!

Look 1:
School Girl Socks and Shorts!!
Cute, fun printed, high school-girl socks are absolutely ‘in’ this season and it made for the perfect styling accessory for this childhood inspired look book.
And of course, since it’s summer, there’s nothing more comfortable than a cool bright pair of shorts with summery whites!

Look 2:
Ruffles, One-shoulders and School-girl skirts
Ruffles have been everywhere since winter 2017 and looks like they’re only getting bigger and fancier in 2018! Ruffled one-shoulder tops and dresses are super-trending this season and I love this one in soft denim, which I found at Cover Story.
And whoever thought, you’d have a chance to be dressed like a school-girl, in your little umbrella skirts… and be smokin’ it once again!

Crazy Brights and Embroidered Denims
Oh yes COLOURS!! If there’s one thing that 1980’s were characterized by, it was bright, crazy colours! So this season, be your brightest and colourful(est) … it’s like a legit excuse to wear all those crazy colours together!

Summer Plaid
Checks, plaids, gingham… whatever you wanna call it… it’s simply rocking this summer 2018! And you really don’t have to stick to the mono-tone!
I love this plaid dress by Liva because it has these little ‘owl eyes’ stuck all over which makes the dress look really cute and perfect for my childhood inspired summer trend book.
Oh! and wearing high socks with heels, is my absolute favorite styling element!

Sunny Yellow and Baggy Rips
If there’s one solid colour that needs to be seen in your wardrobe this summer, it has to be yellow! Yellow dresses, Yellow tops, Yellow bags… let the sun rise in your closet!!
And Ripped pants I don’t think are leaving us very easy! This summer 2018, we see them less distressed… but we still see them all over… on baggy pants, on track pants, on joggers… like just everywhere!

Slit trousers and lapel pins
Slits on trousers… be it, front or side look fabulous anywhere… for a casual day out or for a more formal dinner party.
And lapel pins… well, it’s not really a trend-trend! It’s my obsession with men’s accessories and with stealing stuff off Mr.Wolf’s wardrobe 😉
